Our board member Luzia Becker and affiliate researcher Ana Clara Simões participated in the Global Futures Forum from March 20th to March 21st, 2023. It was a unique opportunity to collectively discuss and draw new paths to face the environmental, human rights, economic, development, peace, and security issues ahead of us.
The conference combined plenary and group sessions into seven main thematic tracks. Since the e-consultation process, held from February 8th to 20th, 2023, Luzia and Ana Clara have integrated the Environmental Governance Thematic Track and contributed with a Regional Perspective, highlighting the importance of Regional Human Rights Courts and defending the idea of regenerative development and transformative education. At the final plenary, each thematic track presented five recommendations. It was an incredible process of intense learning and knowledge sharing, strengthening our role as a member of civil society. As recited by the poet Karimot Odebode, we must go together to build a future.
