Advocacy Areas

Within the Group of Governmental Experts on Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS), the InterAgency Institute advocates for greater representation of Global South perspectives in debates on autonomy, human control, and accountability.

Through cooperation with UNODC thematic working groups and the UN Crime Congress, the InterAgency Institute advances advocacy and research on the interagency mechanisms of technical cooperation in combating maritime human trafficking, migrant smuggling and organized crime with a perspective on crime convergence.

At the Paris Peace Forum, the InterAgency Institute contributes to high-level policy dialogues on emerging technologies, digital inequalities and collective security. The PPF, launched in 2018, is a platform bringing together governments, international organisations, businesses and civil-society actors to advance global governance solutions.
