Oslo SKR Meeting

The IA was represented in the Oslo Meeting of the Stop Killer Robots initiative. Together with representatives from different civil society institutions in Europe and US, the meeting permitted the evaluation of the last achievements of the advocacy of the regulation of weapon autonomous systems under the CCW – Convention on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons, which the last Group of Governmental Experts held (Geneva, July 2022). The conversations also included the analysis of particular national obstacles to commitment in terms of the human-centered approach of the developments on the responsibility of decisions fully controlled by humans. The IA will keep its works in Portuguese-speaking countries, as well as Spain and Spanish-related.
